Just wanted to drop you guys a note to thank you, and your team, for being absolute legends. Who knows what went on behind the scenes, but from our perspective everything was seamless and the whole weekend was perfect!

Pres, the food was to die for. Everything was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented.  To this day we are still dreaming of how tender the lamb was – and those canapes – delish! All our guests were full of the highest praise, even the French!, and I think everyone made on average 3 trips to the buffet table which speaks for itself.

Cat, a massive thank you for all your help and guidance on the ‘flow of the guests’, for your carefully thought out plans and for helping us realise our dream day. Your knowledge and experience in event planning were invaluable and I know that we wouldn’t have been able to have had such an amazing day without you. You really are unflappable, and it’s been an absolute pleasure working with you.  You guys really are so much more than caterers and I cannot tell you how much we valued your guidance throughout the whole minefield of organising a wedding.

We just wanted to say thank you so much for all of your efforts on Saturday. We already knew how good the food would be, but we received so many compliments from other guests and several people who live in France have asked for your details! Tom’s mum, Vanessa, was so pleased with the servers, she said they did a fantastic job keeping glasses filled in the drinks reception and they were so friendly as well. Cat, you did a fantastic job setting up the tables and your suggestions helped the meal flow seamlessly into the evening. We had a perfect wedding day and you were a big part of it, so thank you!

We have arrived back to Dublin and are still buzzing after our wedding celebrations. We wanted to get in touch to thank you again for all of your fantastic work over the weekend. When we began planning our wedding we both felt that the food was one of the most important aspects of the day. We both appreciate good food and the time, effort and preparation that lies behind events like this. You definitely met and exceeded our expectations on the food for both the wedding day and the bbq on Sunday. 

We wanted a feast and definitely got one. We were so happy that you were able to give us our extra requests also with the amuse Bouche, sorbet, special vegetarian meal and dessert table! Oh and our one fussy eater!!  We definitely asked a lot and you accommodated it all! 

The vegetarian main was absolutely delicious, the flavours worked so well together and the phyllo was just perfect too. I hope you keep this as further options as it paired so nicely with the potatoes and vegetables. 

The selection of cheese for our cake  was incredible, all a little different. Along with the dessert it went down so quickly! 

Colm, and Many of our guests have also commented that the burgers were the best burgers that they have every eaten!! They commented on both the flavour and quality of the meat. I was very impressed with the veggie burgers. I have to say I was a well fed and happy bride for the weekend. 

Thank you so much for all of your hard work and delicious food. We thoroughly enjoyed it, as did all our guests! You both work so well as a team. Best of luck for your future weddings to come. I would highly recommend the event kitchen team to anybody. 

4 August 2018 - Wedding Breakfast 112 Guests

​What can I say - the food you prepared was imaginative and tasted wonderful; there were many comments about how beautifully cooked and delicious the pork was.  In fact, one guest who is a chef in America, said it was the best pork he had ever eaten.  Cheesecake is not my favourite dessert but the one you made was so creamy and beautifully decorated - it was truly scrumptious.

I would also like to say that Cat's planning and 'front of house' skills were very much appreciated.    Cat - you were so sweet, so calm and so very thoughtful and obliging.

I just wanted to send a MASSIVE thank you to you both for your absolutely outstanding hard work and yummy food on our wedding day. Cat, you were simply amazing, so calming, efficient and organised it was such a breath of fresh air to know that the running of the wedding day was well and truly in safe hands! Everything ran so smoothly and the day was more than I ever could have imagined! So many of our guests commented on how fantastic you were and you really did help make the wedding the day it was, so thank you for going above and beyond!

Presley, WOW, the food was just absolutely incredible!! I think when I had said to people we were having hog roast they were expecting what we had all experienced so many times at English weddings; Dry pork in a little roll with sloppy stuffing shoved inside but man were they surprised. The pork was so succulent and juicy with the crackling just perfectly crispy, the salads were just divine, you could absolutely tell the quality of the produce was top notch. My personal favourite was the mozzarella, olives and tomatoes in pesto, SO YUMMY, I definitely went up for a second plate! Also so lovely to have the bread separately, it made it such a lovely and light Alfresco dinner. And that Brownie!! EVERYONE has said that it was the best brownie they had ever tasted and i would whole heartedly agree, Brad even said to me a few days later, do you think they would post Brownies to the uk? haha! The staff members you had organised were absolutely lovely and couldn't do anymore to help, even sorting out a water bowl for little Henners. We could not recommend you guys enough, you simply were incredible and such a pleasure to have as part of our wedding day.

The wonderful dinner you provided played a very big part in this. All the food was even better than we had expected and everyone commented on how much they enjoyed it. Your staff were both charming and efficient and took good care of everyone ‘s needs.

We were so impressed with how you managed to arrive, set up your kitchen,produce a feast , clear up and depart completely unobtrusively .  All this whilst taking a temporary power cut in your stride - we only heard about this the following day .

Thank you both so much for the truly epic job you did catering our wedding in June!  We had such an awesome time in France celebrating our wedding and you both helped us so much from the very start by connecting us with local vendors.

We absolutely loved your food Presley and so did our guests, with lots of people saying especially how yummy it was! It also looked beautiful! The waiters and waitresses did such a great job and you guys all managed the timings so well - as we ran over by so much!

Cat - your help coordinating was spot on! The table laying looked perfect - just as I imagined, the service was quick and the waiting staff were so friendly. I felt that I could really trust you and felt confident that you would ensure the day ran smoothly - and it did!

We would both just like to say how blown away we were with the food and service on our wedding day. It was all outrageously tasty, beautifully presented, well organised and well managed. The canapés were delicious (I understand I didnt get any, was off photographing!); the main meal was divine. So many people commented on the day on the standard of the food, attention to detail and how this was un-like any wedding meal they had had before. People are still talking about it! The steak was just perfect for me, so tasty and Paddy had the chicken and it was juicy the flavours spot on for him. The staff were fantastic on the day and this was noticed on they day by our guests - who I believe did a collection for them. It really was a wonderful to share with family and we were so pleased with everything. The evening snacks went down well and lived on until the next day!

It ran so smoothly from start to finish and every single one of our guests have told us it's the best wedding they've ever been to with the most amazing food. Now that we’re back from honeymoon and back to normal life, I wanted to send you an email to thank you so much for your amazing service at our wedding. The food was lovely and received many compliments from our guests, especially the dessert! I heard lots ‘wows’ as people had them! I also wanted to thank you Presley for the beautiful wedding cake, it was so pretty and delicate, and tasted delicious! I was so happy with way it turned out, I hope you were too. Cat, Shan and I are sure you’re one of the kindest people we’ve ever met! Thank you so much for being so supportive and helpful on the Friday and Saturday, especially with the Macarons crisis!

All in all, we are so happy that you catered our for our wedding, you are definitely one of the best decisions we made and couldn’t have asked for better from you at our wedding and in the lead up to it.

When We decided to get married in France, We didn’t really give much thought to the finer points of the day. We just wanted a rustic French wedding, but we also wanted some British Tradition in the Menu and the day itself. Cat and Presley delivered both effortlessly. Having the benefit of Locale and Language and obviously a wealth of experience, they made sure every aspect of the day was covered. Presley took our brief and designed and executed a menu that suited all of our guests and Cat was brilliant on the day, unflappable, even in the face of 40 degree heat. She really did know what we wanted, sometimes even before we did! We really would recommend their services for any occasion. Thank you again Guy’s. I am sure we will see you again!

I've finally returned to the UK and wanted to write and thank both you and your brilliant team, for everything you did to make our wedding such a pleasurable and stress free day.

We have received many compliments from our family and friends (particularly our French friends) about the quality of the food.  Everything looked amazing and you exceeded our expectations on all fronts Presley. Thank you particularly for the way you presented our canapés so beautifully, we were very pleased with how great you made them look!

Cat, from the outset you instilled absolute confidence and managed every aspect with calm professionalism. It was a relief to know that everything was under control at all times. Olly was a huge hit with everyone and kept glasses full at all times and Kate even delivered some friends to the Mairie, many thanks to her for being kind enough to do that.

We would recommend The Event Kitchen without hesitation or reservation, wonderful food, superb service and friendly, professional staff. It was an absolute pleasure to work with you all, we had a really happy day!

Presley, the food was amazing and even our French relatives were impressed (which is not a easy thing!) the quality and presentation was just as we had hoped. The remaining food fed our large family for days after, showing just how generous the food portions were as most people didn't have room for the evening snacks!

Cat, we cant sing your praises high enough. Throughout the day, you anticipated anything that needed doing and made the day run smoothly and stress free. You even arranged the flowers for us which we know was not expected, and you were always on hand but never intrusive. We live in the UK and were planning a wedding for 120 guests in France, needless to say it can be quite stressful. But Presley & Cat were absolutely fantastic throughout the entire process. They made us feel at ease with their attention to detail, flexibility and responsiveness. They were always available at the other end of an email, the phone or Skype, and even put up with 30 friends crashing our tasting session, all giving their own opinions!

We couldn't be happier with the result. The food was delicious and many guests commented on how generous the portions were. The service was great even through the challenges of an electric thunderstorm, and everyone had an amazing time. Thank you both for making our day so memorable.

May 2016 - Wedding Meal 120 Guests

We all want to thank you for the terrific job you did for the wedding reception and we really appreciated your patience and good humour when there were problems with the power supply!  The meal was delicious and there was a hugely enthusiastic reaction from the guests.  So many people remarked not only upon the wonderful food but also the generous portion sizes. 
To quote one of our guests:  'Having devoured the delicious chicken and far too much cheese, we didn't think we had room for pudding... until it arrived!  The cheesecake especially was out of this world'

Presley provided a picnic while our wedding guests spent an afternoon of canoeing the day after our wedding. The selection that was provided was delicious and plentiful. Superb value for money with a very high quality. No one went hungry! Both Presley & Cat gave such fantastic service, going above and beyond. There really is nothing I can find fault in. The whole day by far exceeded our expectations – Thank you both.

August 2015 - Picnic By The River for 70 Guests

The food was fantastic and elegantly presented, particularly considering the space you had to work in and from what I hear ended up driving back to your own house to use your more appropriately sized oven!

Cat you brought the whole thing together without even a hint of stress and kept everything flowing seemlessly from the moment after the ceremony to the crack of dawn the next day when you came to clear up while we were still tucked up in bed.  You went well above and beyond what you needed to do, including picking sunflowers in the middle of the night!  And giving out champagne and rose petals at the Town Hall. A thousand thousand thank yous.

In August 2014 our son got married in a small village, St Martial de Viveyrols near Verteillac in Dordogne. The wedding itself took place in the courtyard next to our house.

Thanks to the expertise provided by Cat and Presley Swensson it turned out to being a great success. Presley served the 50 wedding guests with excellent food. We had three courses , all with two options and Cat, the wedding organiser, made sure that every detail was cared for. My wife and I highly recommend them"

August 2014 - Wedding Meal for 60 Guests

Presley performed beyond all my expectations.  He sent me menu selections prior to arrival for my feedback and then adjusted the menus according to individual requests.  The kitchen was limited in service ware and cooking utensils, but each meal was prepared and served in a manner that we never knew that from the dining room.  

The food also exceeded our expectations for complexity of preparation and gourmet flare; even the most beautiful and tasty Beef Wellington I have ever had anywhere.  He also purchased all the food and beverages carefully with quality, quantity and value in mind.  

His manner is pure gentleman, gentle and very pleasant with children, engaging with adults and extremely professional at all times.  I truly cannot say enough good things to describe our experience with him, we all wanted to take him home with us.  I can whole heartily recommend him  without any reservations of any kind.
